Why the ABC’s Program Works:
The easy answer is that The ABC’s is a “God-thing.” God has chosen to anoint and bless The ABC’s of Financial Freedom book in phenomenal ways. It has been instrumental in touching and transforming the lives of thousands of people and churches all across America. With the addition of The Financial Freedom Workbook and Contagious Generosity, it has only served to strengthen the impact of The ABC’s program and lengthen its affect on individuals and churches alike.
Other books on finances are primarily informational in nature. The ABC’s is that; but it is also very inspirational and motivational as well. Easily readable and simple to understand, people who read it come away inspired to get out of debt and to begin trusting God with their finances.
Another strong factor is the book chronicles the real-life experiences of Pastor Barry Cameron and his family as they endeavored to get out of debt and declare their financial freedom – something they accomplished on November 15, 2001. Pastor Cameron will be the first to tell you he is “not a financial expert, just a satisfied customer that God’s principles work.” His testimony of what God did in his life and in the life of his family is powerful and contagious.
How the Program Works:
Here's how The ABC's works:
(1) Churches contact us and we schedule a date to do the ABC's. We currently do 12 dates a year. Barry does 8-4 in the Winter/Spring season (February - May), and 4 in the fall (September - December). Matt does 4-2 in each season.
(2) Once a date has been agreed upon churches complete and return an ABC's agreement with a deposit guaranteeing their date.
(3) The signed agreement and deposit entitles you to the ABC's license which allows your church to use the ABC's materials for as long as you are Pastor there. (The ABC's license is not transferable to other churches or other pastors.) (4) The ABC's program materials are sent electronically to you. These include: The ABC's Planning Guide which gives step-by-step instructions for your successful program, 2 Minutes With The Author (a Q & A format), 4 messages, 4 program inserts, a sample commitment card, 4 Follow-Up Letters, and 8 tracts to help augment your stewardship emphasis.
(5) The program consists of (a) Getting books for all of your people to read; (b) Preaching a 4-part series, concluding with a commitment card (we provide both); (c) Having Barry or Matt Cameron come and speak on your ABC's Weekend - the Sunday following your 4-part series. (Matt speaks for churches under 1,000); (d) Using the Financial Freedom workbook as a concurrent or follow-up study in all of your small groups or Bible classes.
(6) We provide any assistance you need along the way. Both Barry and Matt are available to answer your questions by phone or email.
(7) Once you are an ABC's church, you will have first access to any new resources we develop and will be the first to receive them.
